背景介绍
Three types of arginine methylation exist in mammalian cells: monomethylarginine (MMA), asymmetric dimethylarginine (ADMA) and symmetric dimethylarginine (SDMA). Type I PRMTs ((CARM1, PRMT1, PRMT2, PRMT3, PRMT6, and PRMT8) catalyze ADMA, while type II PRMTs (e.g. PRMTs 5 and 7) catalyze SDMA. PRMT1 is the primary methyltransferase that deposits the ADMA mark, and it accounts for over 90% of this type of methylation. The Arg3 residue of Histone H4 is a target for PRMT1 methylation. Methylation of histone H4 at Arg3 is an important step in transcriptional activation, and allows for subsequent acetylation of H4 tails by p300.
产品介绍
Biotinylated histone H4 peptide (a.a. 1-21) asymmetrically di-methylated at Arginine 3. It also contains a C-terminal GG linker, followed by a biotinylated Lys.
