Jiangsu SMT Technology (Group) Co., Ltd. was established in 2019 and is the only high-tech enterprise in China that has fully laid out the entire industry chain in the fields of blood purification and biopharmaceutical membranes and filters.

SMT is a member of the China Blood Purification Materials Industry Association and the Zhongguancun Blood Purification Association (Group Standard). The company has been selected as a "Suzhou Unicorn Cultivation Enterprise List for 2023" and a "Potential Unicorn Enterprise in Jiangsu Province for 2023". By 2023, SMT will undertake six national level scientific research projects, including three projects from the 14th Five Year Plan of the Ministry of Science and Technology (leading two projects and participating in one), and three projects selected for the first batch of biopharmaceutical material innovation tasks by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the National Medical Products Administration (leading one project and participating in two projects). These national level project areas cover "artificial lungs", blood purification polyether sulfone materials, medical polysulfone, polyether sulfone, portable CRRT equipment, poly (4-methyl-1-pentene) and other fields.
