When the gunfire of the Fuyang Half Marathon rang out, not only were the athletes' heartbeats racing like a thousand horses, but also the countless pulses of communication signals.
April 21, 2024, is a memorable day as the beautiful city of Fuyang welcomes
The first half marathon race in history has arrived. It is not just a competition of speed and power, but also a grand celebration showcasing the natural beauty and cultural heritage of Fuyang. The starting point of the competition is set in the vibrant Lushan era, where a group of runners who love running will depart from here. We will shuttle between cultural landmarks such as Fuchun Mountain Pavilion, Dongwu Cultural Park, Park commemorating patriotic writer Yu Dafu, and Heshan Park, crossing the beautiful scenery of mountain and water blending, and measuring this modern version of Fuchun Mountain Residence with our footsteps.
List of 6000 marathon participants
In this grand event, the number of applicants reached tens of thousands. After drawing lots, 6000 contestants were finally determined, including 3000 for the half marathon event and 3000 for the Happy Run event. There are two routes in the race, a 21.0975 kilometer half marathon route and a approximately 4.5 kilometer Happy Run route. Wireless communication plays a crucial role in these two routes. It not only connects athletes, medical personnel, and event staff, but also ensures network stability for live and remote broadcasting. In order to ensure smooth communication, Hu Huasen and Zhuang Weiling, leaders of Fuyang Unicom Branch, and Wu Xianghua, leader of the Network Optimization Department of Fuyang Unicom Branch, joined hands with the Fuyang Wireless Maintenance Team led by Hu Songqing and Tong Guomin from the Hangzhou Unicom Project Department of Bafang Telecom Engineering Branch to form an emergency communication support team. An emergency plan has been developed, clarifying the response process and responsibility allocation. With their professional skills and rigorous attitude, they provided strong support for the communication work of this event.
Inspection of competition route stations and pasting of China Unicom equipment signs
To ensure smooth communication during the competition, the Fuyang Wireless Maintenance Team of the Hangzhou Unicom Project Department and the Network Optimization Department of Fuyang Unicom Branch worked closely together to conduct network optimization, signal testing, and equipment expansion for the competition routes and venues in advance. Hu Songqing and Tong Guomin reminded the Fuyang Wireless maintenance team in advance to conduct a thorough inspection of the equipment during the period of pasting the China Unicom logo to prevent potential equipment malfunctions and quickly remove them. In addition to these preparations, a detailed communication security plan has been developed for the Fuyang District Half Marathon to ensure the normal operation of network coverage and communication equipment at the starting point, endpoint, and various points along the way, thereby ensuring that athletes, spectators, and staff can enjoy high-quality communication services.
On the day of the competition, the security team arranged two groups of backend network administrators in advance to monitor the situation of network sites in real time. Once any abnormalities were found, they could quickly locate the fault and notify on-site personnel for handling. In view of the fact that the road blockade during the competition may lead to the failure of timely access to the fault site, Hu Songqing and Tong Guomin dispatched 12 groups of professional and technical emergency repair personnel from other regions in advance to assist in the support of Fuyang garrison. The emergency repair stations have been arranged at 30 locations, including the starting point of the competition, Lushan Times Square in Fuyang, and important stations along the way such as Fuyang Dongwu Computer Room, Fuyang Library, Fuyang Dawukong, Fuyang Dongzhou Rose Garden South, and Fuyang Xijiao Peninsula. And strictly follow the principle of "10 minute response, 30 minute disposal" to ensure that network failures can be quickly identified and restored, in order to guarantee the continuity and stability of communication services.
