With the theme of "openness and inclusiveness, innovation and reform, win-win cooperation - embracing future development and reconstruction of international shipping", the Forum brings together global wisdom to conduct dialogue and exchanges on hot issues concerned by the global shipping industry.

Huang Heng, General Manager of Nezha Technology, was invited to participate in a special live-stream of the Yicai Financial News program on the theme of "New Opportunities for Digital Intelligence in Shipping Industry". Xu Mingqiang, Chairman of China Communications Information Technology Co., and General Manager of Transport Communication Information Group (Shanghai) Co., and Lin Yiwen, Deputy General Manager of COSCO Shipping Technology were invited to the conversation as well.

They discussed about hot topics such as digitalization for supply chain, the process driven for global trade facilitation and the advancement of digital intelligence technology for the global shipping and logistics industry.

During the conversation, Mr. Huang shared the impact of digital transformation on operations, organizations and business models, especially the profound impact of new intelligent technologies such as big data, cloud computing, artificial intelligence and block chain on the shipping industry in the Digital 2.0 Era. 

He pointed out that in the future Digital 3.0 Era, the interchange of multi-industry data and the automatic data flow which result in intelligent self-decision will become major directions of the digital, networked and intelligent development of the shipping industry.

At the end of the conversation, when talking about the changes that digitalization and intelligence would bring to the shipping industry in the future, Mr. Huang pointed out that the most important thing in the process of industrial informatization is the culture of trust and sharing. He suggested the whole industry establish a culture of sharing, advocate sharing data on the basis of not harming their own interests, in order to promote the development of data intelligence across industries, as data only generates value from application.

Huang emphasized that the development and reconstruction of traditional industries is a process of quantitative changes into qualitative changes, but in a constant direction. In the face of digital and intelligence, the industry and companies must be prepared to face the changes and embrace the times.
